Informazioni generali
Il prof. Salvatore Sorriso è in possesso di laurea in Chimica, conseguita col massimo dei voti e in cinque anni (17.12.'62), discutendo una tesi sperimentale su "Spettri infrarossi e momenti di dipolo di alcuni a-diazochetoni". La tesi è stata successiva-mente pubblicata sulla rivista internazionale inglese Tetra-hedron[1].
Nel periodo intercorso tra la data della laurea e l'inizio dell'anno accademico successivo ha usufruito di una borsa di studio del Consiglio Nazionale della Ricerche.
Ha iniziato la sua attività di ricerca in seno al gruppo del prof. Foffani. In seguito, poi, al trasferimento di questi, ha preferito costituire una piccola unità di ricerca, di cui è attualmente responsabile.
Con tale unità hanno fin dall'inizio collaborato ricercatori di altre sedi (Bologna, università e CNR Ozzano; Parigi, Sorbona; Pisa, università; Bergen (Norvegia), università; Wroclaw (Polonia), università. Attualmente essa è finanziata dal C.N.R. e dal MURST.
